Risk matrix
Acceptance scale
When conducting risk analysis, the following scale should be used to assess whether a risk can be accepted or not.Table 1. Risk acceptance
Acceptable level: Risks that require no action or are assessed as low. The risk has been rated low and assessed to cause no disruption to the organization
Acceptable with monitoring: Risk that can be accepted but should be monitored. These risks can be managed in day-to-day operations.
Medium level: Risks that need deeper analysis. The risks should be monitored to enable quick action if the event occurs.
High level: High risks that need to be addressed.. High level: These risks require action from the responsible manager and must be reported to management.
Unacceptable level: Severe risks that need to be addressed immediately.
The risks have been evaluated with high probability or high impact. These risks require action from the responsible manager and must be reported to management. The risk matrix below can be used to get a general overview of identified risks. The colors in the risk matrix describe whether a risk is acceptable or not based on tolerance levels.
| Sannolikhet \ Konsekvens | IMPACT | ||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Negligible | 2. Moderate | 3. Severe | 4. Very severe | ||
| PROBABILITY | 4. Very likely | 4 (Medium) | 8 (High) | 12 (Critical) | 16 (Critical) |
| 3. Likely | 3 (Low) | 6 (Medium) | 9 (High) | 12 (Critical) | |
| 2. Possible | 2 (Low) | 4 (Medium) | 6 (Medium) | 8 (High) | |
| 1. Unlikely | 1 (Low) | 2 (Low) | 3 (Low) | 4 (Medium) | |
The site offers the best free alternative to Menti/Mentimeter for risk assessment. As a group, you anonymously select an impact from 1-4 and a probability from 1-4 for each risk identified in your other system. One of you starts a session and shares the code with the other participants to collect their assessments.
